Felix's journey as a Secondary Teacher at Dignity for Children
15 June 2023

Meet Felix! Fondly known as the initiator of lame jokes, he enjoys getting to know people and their stories.

He believes that education plays an important role in shaping society for the better, and that is what led him to Dignity 2 years ago as a Secondary teacher.

___________
Here are some things Felix likes about his Dignity experience:

1. What makes Dignity special is the wonderfully diverse community! At the get-go, students learn how to interact with people from different backgrounds and ethnicity. That extends to staffs as well, coming up with activities together is always interesting and a new experience for me.

2. I love the fact that we have a farm school (Dignity Farm Academy) where students are able to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and get close to nature. They get to learn to appreciate nature and how to cultivate it by doing farming activities.

3. Students get to go on nature walks around the farm. They get to observe the structure of the leaves, pollens and also identify variations among animals and plants of the same species. These learnings cannot be achieved in a traditional classroom setting, and I’m glad that Dignity cultivates room for exploration and life skills. 😊
