About Us
Together, we are transforming lives, one child at a time.
Who are we?
Dignity for Children Foundation is a non-governmental organization that provides holistic care and education for urban poor children in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Our work began in 1998 in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur with only 20 students then. Dignity is now a learning centre with more than 1,860 children ranging from 2-19 years old.

  • Dignity for Children Foundation is registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) and is a company limited by guarantee (CLBG) regulated under the Companies Act 2016.
  • The Foundation (Yayasan) is an organization that was established solely for charitable purposes without any underlying profit-making objective.
  • All monetary donations to Dignity are tax-deductible in accordance with the Income Tax Act 1967 subsection 44(6).

We provide quality education and care in a secure environment for pre-school to Form 5. From Toddler to Primary, the Montessori method of education is used, and Cambridge IGCSE ‘O’ level for the Secondary students.

Together with the academic components, Dignity teaches employability skills through its Transformational Enterprise program. With Dignity’s education provisions these underprivileged children gain knowledge and skills to change their lives.
