wellness X dignity

wellness X dignity is an enterprise by Dignity’s Mental Health Care Unit.
Without external intervention, vulnerable children will remain in the grips of poverty and live on the fringe of society requiring social welfare support and care. The early development of cognitive skills, emotional well-being, social competence and sound mental health are critical foundations to children’s overall health and well-being.
wellness X dignity aim to provide students and the community with the platform to gain a better and quality Psychological Assessment, Counselling, Psychotherapy and Play therapy. The unit also intends to conduct workshops for students, parents, and teachers.

grow X dignity
grow X dignity is a budding enterprise focused on transforming unused urban locations like rooftops into green spaces that are fruitful. Students work in teams to plant, germinate, tend and harvest various crops including leafy vegetables, Malaysian fruits and local herbs and ulam. Gardening teaches a deep appreciation of the environment and growing food.

Youth learn about composting, natural herbicides and pest-control methods so that we grow produce that are fresh and chemical-free.

The fruit of their labor goes to the kitchen to make meals for the younger children, and some are sold.
