Tabung Pendidikan dan Kebajikan Dignity

Tabung Kebajikan dan Pendidikan Dignity is a fund with tax exempt status under the Ministry of Finance, established with the objective to fund scholarships, welfare and recreational activities for the benefit of financially needy beneficiaries.

Through our scholarships and programs, the targeted beneficiaries are able to obtain access to quality education, welfare and recreational activities, empowering them to achieve employment and break out of the cycle of poverty.

All donations to Tabung Kebajikan dan Pendidikan Dignity are tax deductible and donors will receive official tax exempt receipts in accordance with section 44(6) of the Income Tax Act 1967 [Ref: LHDN.01/35/42/51/179-6.5276(29.04.2003)].

Currently, Tabung Pendidikan dan Kebajikan Dignity supports the following programs:

Dignity Talent Program

This program supports students from financially needy backgrounds who are entering local public colleges and universities for tertiary education in selected Diploma or Undergraduate Degree programs.

Sponsorship covers:
  1. Up to RM100,000 full payment of fees for students enrolling in selected courses in local university/ college.
  2. Pre-approved pathway for internship and employment at Dignity for Children Foundation.
  3. Opportunity to participate in activities hosted by Dignity for Children Foundation.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Malaysian IC holder aged 17-21 years old
  2. Financially needy background
  3. Good academic results and positive learning attitude
  4. Pursuing a 1st diploma/ degree in a course or field of studies approved by Dignity on part or full time basis at recognised public and private universities and colleges in Malaysia.

Education for All Scholarship

This program supports the academic development of school children in financially needy communities who are studying at registered public kindergartens, primary or secondary schools.

Sponsorship covers:
  1. One-off support payment for the student to purchase schooling essentials (school uniform, workbooks and stationery)
  2. Financial aid for students who are currently enrolled in government primary or secondary schools.

Eligibility criteria:
  1. Malaysian IC holder aged 5-17 years old.
  2. Financially needy background
  3. Good academic results

Dignity Sports Program

The sports development program offers opportunities for students in underserved schools to participate in sports activities including football.

Schools interested to participate in the program can apply by emailing: dignity@dignityforchildren.org

About Dignity

Our work began in 1998 in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur with only 20 students then. Dignity is now a learning centre with more than 2,300 children ranging from 2-19 years old.
