Honsbridge International School's Day of Fun and Learning at Dignity Farm Academy!
01 December 2023

On November 23rd, the sun was shining, and the air was filled with laughter as 55 bright-eyed students from Honsbridge International School embarked on an exciting field trip to Dignity Farm Academy. It was a day filled with hands-on learning, nature exploration, and team bonding that left long lasting memories.

Hands-On Learning in the Heart of Nature

The students eagerly rolled up their sleeves and delved into a variety of farm activities, experiencing the joys of agriculture firsthand. The highlight of the day was the planting session, where they carefully placed seedlings into raised beds, learning the importance of sustainable farming practices.

Composting became an interactive lesson as the students discovered how to turn waste into valuable soil enrichers and gain insights into on decomposition and regeneration.

Woodworking Workshop

For the older students, a woodworking workshop added an extra layer of creativity and skill development. The project of the day? Designing robot and dog keychains! The workshop not only honed their woodworking skills but also sparked their imaginations as they crafted unique, personalized souvenirs to take home.

Nature Art and Crafts

Meanwhile, the younger ones engaged in a world of creativity with nature art and crafts activities. From leaf collages to pinecone sculptures, they get to unleash their artistic expressions . The joy on their faces as they proudly carried home their nature-inspired creations was truly heartwarming.

Certificates of participation were awarded to each student, recognizing their enthusiasm, dedication, and the newfound knowledge they acquired during their farm adventure.
