Primary education is the right of every child, according to the United Nations. A sound and wholly-rounded education at this stage is vital to help all children, regardless of their background, to be well equipped for life. dignity’s Primary Program is founded on child-centered principles of independence and choice. We recognize that a one-size-fits-all approach neglects the diverse growth patterns and learning styles of each child – so we implement flexible timetables, and individualized tracking and monitoring that allows advanced or delayed learners to learn at a suitable pace for them.
Lessons are presented with kinesthetic and visual learners in mind, with learning embedded within an interactive group and individual activities. Mixed-age learning groups encourage peer-to-peer teaching, a powerful form of education. For quieter learning times, individual spaces are set apart for students to engage in reading, drawing, and journaling.
The Dignity Primary Program delivers the Malaysian academic syllabus supplemented with materials from Singapore and the UK. Classes are in English medium.
